My name is Menachem Tabanpour and I own and operate Le Colibri Personal Chef Service in Madison, WI. I started working as a personal chef in 2006 and it has been a great experience so far. I enjoy the planning and preparation of menus that are unique to my clients tastes and needs. My cooking background is rooted in my childhood since I grew up in a family that put a strong emphasis on family dining. Both my parents strongly influence my cooking with my father being Iranian and my mother being French. My mother is a wonderful cook who keeps things simple, fresh and delicious. What she taught me is the foundation of my cooking style. I began experimenting in the kitchen at a very young age and by 13 I was already cooking 6 course meals for family gatherings. When I came to college at UW-Madison, I lived cooperative houses for three years and learned how to cook for large groups of people as well as vegetarian, vegan and raw food preparation. I am also the current chef for Chef's Night Off which takes place every two weeks in East Mifflin neighborhood. |
